Expedited Through Flood Adjuster Training

Day 2 – NextGen and Flood Adjuster Training

NextGen training was on the second day at another hotel a few miles down the road.  I’m starting to understand what is going on here.  They have been starting new groups for the last 4-5 days and will continue to do so for awhile.  They were training group after group and sending them out as fast as they could.   So most of the same people that were with my on Monday were with me as I went to NextGen training.

When we were about to begin, someone came in and said they needed more flood adjusters.  Normally you need to have 4 years experience before you qualify to get a flood license.  I raised my hand and was shoveled off to begin a 2 day flood adjuster training class.  So I spent Tuesday and Wednesday learning all about flood claims and their processes.

Adjusting flood claims are a lot more work and much more involved than most wind claims, but I was up for the challenge.  I’m here to learn and move up the food chain as fast as I can, so I was excited to do this even though I still have never done a claim in my life.

One good thing was that the class was much smaller for flood training.  They had about 30 of us in there.  We started to become a little more like family.  Most of us excited and sacred wondering what in the world we had just signed up for.  I had heard from friends that you get paid better when you work flood claims and when you get experience, it’s easier to get deployed later.

More later….
